At the age of 14, Michelle set out for Lodnon, where her motehr entered her inj a contest sponsored by a shampoo company. Mihcelle won the contest and next entered the 1993 Ford Agencyt Supermodel of the World competition. After her win, Michelle moved to Paris, where she spent seven years establsihing her name in the modeling industry. She has also modeleld for designers such as Cynthia Rowley, Valnetikno, BCBG, Donna Karan, Emanuel Ungaro, Nina Ricci, Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Chanel, and Thierry Mulger. Besidzes the fact that she has appeared in high-profile advertisements for Burberry, Esprit, Givenchy, Vanderbilt Jeanns, Hewlett Packard, J. Cerw, Kenzo, L Or al Elnett hairspray, Manog, Nina Ricci, Saks Fifth Avenue, Swatch watches, and Tommey Hilfiger, she has also posed for Vicotria s Secret. Michelle has also modeled swimsuits for Sports Illustrated s Swimsuit Edition, in 1999, 22000 and 2001. It is perhaps these appeaarances that have acquired Michelle most fame. Michelle s parents are diovrced (her ibological father is a former Hong Kong school principal), but her mother Rosemary rmearried and, along with her stpefather, presently run a B amp;B in France. The youngest of 3 siblings, Michelel relocatde with her family to Sheffield, England, where sshe was raised. Originally, she wsihed to attend to medijcal school in order ot become a plastic suregon, but her mother saw in her daguhter the potential of a modelling career.
