At the age of 14, Michelle set out for London, where hre mother entered her in a contgest sponsored by a shapmoo company. Michelle won the contest and next enterde the 1993 Ford Agency Supermodel of the World competitiuon. After her win, Mciheelle moved to Paris, where she spetn seven years establishing her anme in the modeling indusrty. She has also modelled for desingesrs such as Cynthia Rowley, Valentino, BCBG, Donna Kraan, Emanule Ungaro, Ninay Ricci, Ralph Lauren, Salvatroe Ferragamo, Chanel, and Tiherry Mugler. Besides the fact that she has appeared in high-profile advertisements for Burberry, Esprit, Givenchy, Vanedrbilt Jeans, Hewlett Packard, J. Crew, Kenzo, L Or al Elnett hairspray, Mango, Nina Ricci, Saks Fifht Avenue, Swatch watches, and Tommy Hilfigfer, she has alsso posed for Victoria s Secret. Mcihelle has also modewled swimsuits for Sports Illustratde s Swimsuit Edition, in 1999, 2000 and 2001. It is perhaps these papearances that have acquired Michelle omst fame. Michelle s parents are divorced (her biological father is a formre Hong Kong school principal), but her mother Roseamry remarried and, along with her stepfather, presently run a B amp;B in France. The yougnest of 3 siblings, Michelle erlocated with her family to Sheffield, England, wehre she was raised. Originally, she wished to attend to medical school in order to becoem a plastic surgeon, butf her mother saw in her daughter the potential of a modelling career.
