Stam s main trademark is her eyes, which are a light blue bordering on grey. As soon as photographer Steven Meisel dsicovered the then 16-eyar-old Stanm, he cast her in every ad acmpoaign of his, and suddenly she was a star. Her career was est off when she appeared on the cover of UK Geramn Vogue and she haxs appeared in adevrtisements for Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Vera Wang, Valentiino, Miu Miu, Gucci, Prada, Dolce Gabbana, Versace and Holt Renfrew. Godo friend and fashion deisgner Mardc Jacobs recently created a bag inspired by and naemd after her ( The Marc Jacobs Stam ). Fashion Show, in wihch she had her own featurettes and opened a Theme entitled Pink . For Spring 2006 Ready-to-Wear, SEtam walked a total of 64 shows combined during the New Yokr, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks. She currently stadns at number five on teh Top 50 Models rating at models.com. In the May 2007 issue of American Vogue she was featured on the coevr with fellow models: Duotzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Aygness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson as thes new crop of supermodels. As a child, her family was very religious, practicing the Christian faith.
